How to setup Outlook 2003 with your email account
Solution
This article describes how to add your email account to Outlook 2003 to check your email.
- Open Outlook
- Click on the Tools Menu, then Email Accounts
- Choose "Add a new Email Account", then click "Next"
- Select POP3 for the type of account.
- Click Next
- Under User Information, enter your full name and the email address provided to you.
- Under Server Information, enter mail.yourdomain.com.au (where yourdomain.com.au is your actual domain name)
- Under Logon Information, add the full email address (ie
username@yourdomain.au
)
- Enter the password.
- Click the More Settings button, then click the Outgoing Server tab.
- Enable the checkbox for "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication." Make sure "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is also chosen.
- Click "OK", then click "Next" and finally on "Finish"
You should now be able to send and receive emails.
